A.O. Smith (also known as American Water Heater) in Johnson City, TN looking for Technical Support Representatives
I. JOB FUNCTION:
Answer telephone calls from customers, distributors, service agents and field sales personnel for technical assistance and product support.
II. ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP:
Position reports to Residential Technical Support Supervisor
III. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Answer and trouble-shoot an average of 90 phone calls per day assisting customers in the following: trouble-shoot electric & gas water heaters, product registrations, provide follow-up assistance and help locate qualified servicer.
Communicate effectively with customers while maintaining a professional image.
Other duties as assigned
IV. REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or Equivalent with previous customer service experience.
Effectively communicate with internal and external customers and possess exceptional computer/keyboarding skills.
Willing to work a schedule during open hours of operation, 8: 00AM to 8: 00PM, Monday-Friday and 9: 00AM to 6: 00PM Saturday and Sunday as required.
Prefer mechanically inclined individuals with previous plumbing or electrical experience.
Prefer previous call center experience.
National Criminal Background and Tennessee Drug Free Workforce
Dress Code: Business Casual
Pay Rate: $12.00/hour
