Machine Operator

We have a full-time/part-time opening for a Machine Operator.

Must be able to work various shifts per week.

Manpower is currently hiring a Machine Operator for one of our clients in Beltsville, MD! Job Responsibilities: Candidate must be capable of set-up and operation of seal machines. Produce and check quality of a finished part. Must also possess a basic understanding of blueprint drawings. Seal Operators (no CNC) * Log-on to the computer and scan work order * Read process sheet and blueprint for the work order. * Set-up the seal machines in the cell, by adding tooling to the machines. * Process parts through machining * Measure seals using tools such as micrometers, pi tape, gauge, venires, etc. by checking dimensions as indicated on the blueprints. * Place completed seals on the rack and take finished product to designated area * Document and control dimension using the SPC (statistically process control) * Participate in lean and 5S+ activities, as required. * Complete and maintain production line logs * Perform other related duties as assigned. * Basic reading skills, comprehension, and math skills * Communication, teamwork & people skills * Basic Computer skills Requirements: *High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required from an accredited institution. *0-1 year of experience required in manufacturing. *Occasional lifting of up to 25lbs, carts are available for usage *Both sitting and standing will be required. *Turn handles on manual machines, manual dexterity Contract Length: 1 year Shift: 1st shift Pay Rate: $14/hr For additional details on this role contact: Ryan Chuebeyang Email: Ryan.Chuebeyang@manpowergroup.com Please go to www.manpowerjobs.com and create a profile with us and contact this recruiter directly.
