Summary
The Dishwasher’s role is to clean and restock dishware, and maintain the Back of the House appearance. This includes general upkeep and cleaning of the BOH.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
• Maintain the dish machine according to health department and manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain clean wash water at all times.
• Stock and use all cleaning supplies as intended.
• Maintain clean and dry floors, including proper mat placement and cleaning.
• Empty and clean trash cans, and ensure proper trash can placement.
• Assist the line by restocking products or dishes that as needed.
• Ensure 100% cleanliness and sanitation of utensils, plate ware, flatware, and glassware.
• Follow the safety rules provided in the Safety Program found in the employee Orientation Manual and report any safety hazards to management immediately.
• Complete other duties as assigned in support of the business.
Requirements
Qualifications
• Dishwashing experience in a full-service restaurant is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Able to speak effectively before groups of employees of the organization.
• Ability to recognize numbers and unit measurements and perform basic math functions, such as add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to stand, walk, talk, hear and taste or smell throughout the entire shift.
• Occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and may exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
• Regularly lifts up to 25 pounds, frequently lifts up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 75 pounds.
