IT System Analyst/ Project Manager - Cypress, CA - Full-time / Part-time

Primary Responsibilities:

• Leads large, complex projects to achieve key business objectives


• Actively participate in all phases of project development life cycle including database policies, procedures, standards and supporting documentation, database design, process flow analysis, development, benchmark analysis, performance/tuning, capacity planning, and production implementation


• Collaborate with the team on application architecture design and decision-making


• Assist in developing innovative solutions to meet the needs of the business


• Design and implement application enhancements in collaboration with different teams


• Translates highly complex concepts in ways that can be understood by a variety of audiences


• Will be expected to function as a mentor for junior systems analysts, providing assistance where needed


• Will be expected to handle smaller projects completely on their own, including interactions with other teams and 3rd parties for design and architecture


• Involvement with senior management in terms of supplying input for key design and architecture decisions, as well as work estimation and resource planning


• Work collaboratively with business partners, SMEs, Developers and Testers to ensure a shared understanding of business requirements


• Understand the applications supported and their upstream/downstream impact


• Determine feasibility of business requirements and recommend changes to support business needs and processes


• Ensure that system solution options are thoroughly researched, analyzed and documented


• Provide status reports to senior management


• Assisting with communication interfaces/integration to associated systems
  Upholds enterprise policy guidelines and recommends new and improved guidelines

Required Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree in applicable area of expertise or equivalent experience


• Experience in IBM Optim Tool (Subsetting, Masking and Archiving data) or a similar ETL tool


• Broad knowledge of relational database technologies (DB2 on mainframe, SQL Server & Oracle)


• Strong analytical skills and capable of influencing on technical issues


• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in fast paced challenging environment


• Expertise in writing complex SQLs and VB scripts (User defined exit routines)


• Experience in Data modeling and creating entity relationship diagram

Preferred Qualifications:

• Healthcare Industry experience


• Experience using Data Stage or other ETL tools


• Six Sigma Process Improvement experience


• Big Data knowledge in Hadoop technology stack (Map Reduce, HDFS)

  Process automation experience
