At Indiana MENTOR our Direct Support Professionals are critical to our success and exemplify the wonderful mission driven work we do every day.

Indiana MENTOR is seeking part-time, 1st shift, every other weekend Direct Support Professionals.

This opportunity is perfect for someone wanting to give back to their community and supplement their income.

Its also great for college students looking for a rewarding position that will allow you to step outside the "campus bubble" and get to know other people and parts of your community. We offer a supportive team environment and a family-oriented culture.

By joining our team as a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will

• Provide assistance to individuals with disabilities in a community-based setting.
• Provide assistance with daily activities such as meal preparation and planning; medication administration; and personal care.
• Facilitate community involvement by accompanying individuals on outings in the community or providing transportation to work or other activities.
• Support therapeutic and behavioral plans in partnership with clinical staff to enhance the quality of life for those we support.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Have a caring and compassionate heart
  • The desire to improve another person’s life
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing
  • Successful clearance of local and/or state background checks
  • Previous experience is not necessary
  • Must be willing to work every other weekend
