About this job
This job consists of delivering amusement equipment, overseeing the safe and proper setup, training onsite operators, and sometimes operating equipment. Basically, your job is to deliver the fun.
Extreme Inflatables is looking to add members to its team that:
Have a positive outlook (if you are negative and like to complain about life, we aren't good therapy).
Genuinely enjoy people (we are actually a people-company that happens to provide amusement rides).
Hard worker (being lazy never seems to let us get a good night's rest).
Growth-oriented (if you want to be the same person a year from now that you are today, there are a lot of other jobs that are ok with you not growing as a person).
About US: We are the largest amusement ride rental company in Oklahoma. We provide mostly inflatable games, but also mechanical bulls, small carnival rides, rockwalls, etc. to events in Oklahoma and a number of surrounding states. Basically, we provide the fun! We work with churches, schools, univerisities, companies, and individuals by providing the exciting activities for lock-ins, block parties, picnics, festivals, and birthday parties. The "negatives"
The event industry is not an industry for those looking to make sure they have their weekends and holidays off...because that is when the fun events take place.
Physical labor: these things don't just put themselves up. A caring, attentive PERSON has to make sure that everything is positioned properly, anchored correctly, functioning right, and being run safely. This involves physical work. You will need to be able to lift or move 200 lbs.
Long hours: Ever been to a 15 minute party? Yeah, we haven't either. And if we did, we would think either 1) glad it's only 15 minutes cause this party is LAME, or 2) this party is awesome! Why did they only make it 15 minutes long?! Remarkable parties last awhile, which the attendees love. This means we don't always work 4-8 hour shifts. Sometimes the shifts are 12 hours or more, BUT if you are having fun, you won't notice or mind.
Changing schedules: It would be awesome for us if there was a party scheduled from 9am to 5pm everyday. We would always know when we have to work! The reality is that parties get scheduled every day of the week, every hour of the day. They also don't get scheduled very far in advance sometimes. Occasionally people realize that they want to PARTY with short notice. This means that your schedule may change and will almost definitely not be identical week-to-week.
The positives:
You will probably be the only one at the party getting paid to be there!
No one is ever angry when you show up at a party. Why should they be?! You are bringing the fun!
You get to enjoy all of the newest and coolest rides first, and on a regular basis. Sometimes we have to "test" our equipment to make sure it still works ;)
Growth Plans: We want everyone on our team to be growing as a person. To be sure of this, we give our team members a "growth" allowance for purchasing books, attending conferences, etc.
A fun environment: Our team agrees that we all enjoy working here. A huge part of that is due to the fun people we get to work with.
Having a private party yourself? You "know" some people who can provide awesome attractions at unreal rates.
Also, for our full-time people we provide insurance benefits, vacation, sick leave, some holiday pay, and unique reward experiences (past experiences have included Caribbean cruises and taking our families to DisneyWorld)
