Description

Medline has an immediate opening for a Creative Director. The Creative Director focuses on providing overall creative direction, guidance and mentoring as well as overseeing and improving the creative process. In addition, the Director works to improve the overall quality of work including art direction, design, messaging, branding and overall conceptualization of all marketing and packaging materials with the goal to promote the brand and sell Medline products, services and programs. We are seeking a dynamic, hard-working professional with a solid education and background with a desire to work for a fast-paced, large corporate organization. In addition to exceptional leadership and technical skills, you must have a “roll-up your sleeves” attitude.

The challenging responsibilities of the position:
  • Develop a graphic identity and enforce creative programs and design concepts that meet the business objectives of the organization and that advance our brand strategy across all divisions for all collateral, digital and packaging projects
  • Provide guidance to creative teams to improve messaging/copy and design in order to meet the objectives and strategies within the Brand's architecture.
  • Facilitate open communication between Marketing and divisions regarding creative design and Brand image to assist the divisions to meet their business objectives.
  • Promote teamwork within each creative team and across all creative teams and provide the right tools, environment, support and encouragement to team members to help them succeed.
  • Develop Brand style guides for designers to apply across all creative projects.
  • Review the design and grade the design of new and redesigned project work.
  • Invent new ideas for branding, advertising campaigns and marketing messages. Understand design and smart copy, and recognize fresh approaches to design.
  • Create, develop and produce one-off marketing pieces and fully integrated campaigns including advertising, collateral, manuals, editorial content, sales and presentation materials, etc.
  • Other projects as assigned.

Qualification

  • Bachelor of Fine Arts, or equivalent degree in commercial arts or related field
  • 5-8 years experience in marketing environment, with at least 4 years of management experience with leadership skills demonstrating ability to manage and motivate creative teams
  • Proven ability to work with multiple clients and brands to interpret marketing direction and strategy into a creative communication materials in order to achieve targeted revenue goals
  • Demonstrated --via submission of portfolio-- strength to effectively communicate and sell through creative, branded and integrated marketing communication tactics
  • Excellent verbal communication skills including the ability to convey ideas and information clearly, concisely and persuasively
  • Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
