As Marketing Traffic Manager, you will supervise, coordinate and ensure the on time and orderly flow of broadcast, print and digital content and deliverables from job initiation to its release and billing. Job Duties   Obtains thorough input from marketing directors and managers when they originate work. Determines what is required to achieve the goals and objectives and makes a plan.  Collects all source materials, briefs and verbal input pertaining to the project organizes the information and distributes with job order to internal creative and/or external agencies and vendors. Initiates and follows up on the preparation of production, printing, photography and video production estimates and submits them for approval.  Obtains timing estimates, flow charts from the Media Department and keeps up-to-date media schedules indicating the various ads scheduled. Owns and administers the creative department workflow. Sets due dates for various stages of job completion after consulting with Creative and Production for timing requirements of various jobs. Actively manages resources to ensure job completion.  Keeps abreast of the work within the internal creative and agencies and follows up on milestones and due dates that were established. Expedites the “rush” jobs in such a way that process does not obstruct the orderly flow of everyday work. Keeps all concerned informed on the current status of all jobs in progress via weekly status reports. Informs of any conflicts, delays, postponements or any other unusual situations that may impede the orderly flow of assignments. Submits work for required reviews and approvals. Performs or facilitates proofreading. Collects feedback and input on creative/copy and works directly with Brand Managers and Agencies in getting revisions expedited, as needed. Upon approval, source content (copy, visuals and/or scripts) are placed with production resource/agencies/design studios/production company/photographers. Final print files are trafficked to publications, networks and local stations. Owns and administers the digital asset management, storage and file distribution system; collaborates with IT to anticipate needs, perform updates and functionality upgrades. Go to person for vendor access to the system. Prepares purchase orders, closes jobs and preps for billing. Collects and wraps final job jacket from Broadcast Producer, prints out actuals of job upon completion of final billing, if not already printed, submits with agency/production company invoices. Position Requirements   Bachelor’s degree preferred. 3-6 years of experience with either advertising agencies or internal marketing departments. One to two years of related work experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Word, Excel, Acrobat, Video Compressions Software (e.g. Toast). Easy-going ability to work independently and take responsibility for the project outcome. Eagerness to be a team player, comfortable with interpreting the intent of the internal client’s needs and converting into an action plan that meets their objectives, without explicit directives. Ability to thrive while dealing with unexpected problems and obstacles. Enjoys persevering and overcoming obstacles; easily changing the plan as needed and meeting the objectives, quality standards and deadlines. Ability to foster win-win scenarios. Watches the company’s bottom line and negotiates with vendors aggressively.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to vendors, internal clients, franchisees, and employees of the organization.
