About this job

Our vision at Petco is Healthier Pets. Happier People. Better World. We’re making things better for pets, people and the planet through our Think Adoption First philosophy, the Petco Foundation and other important initiatives that focus on putting animals first, educating pet parents and reducing our carbon footprint. The journey starts with knowledgeable, passionately engaged associates who are proud to recommend Petco as a place to work, who believe in our Vision and who are committed to delivering a superior customer experience.

From our retail stores and our network of Distribution Centers to our Corporate offices, you'll work with others who share your values and commitment. We seek individuals who are passionate about animal welfare, have great people skills and are driven to grow and advance in their careers with us. Our ongoing growth is creating exceptional opportunities for professional development and personal enrichment throughout our organization.

Check in at Pooch Hotel and Pooch Play and take your career direction up a luxurious notch. Our renowned dog-care facilities specialize in attention, interaction and tender-loving care, gaining us praise and paws-up reviews from pets and their families. Our efforts allow us to offer a safe and fun place for dogs, plus peace of mind to their parents as they head off to work or a weekend getaway. To do so, we’re looking for the right individuals to contribute their skills, energy and ambition.

Pack Leader
Looking for an organization that not only recognizes your interest in animal welfare, but also values your love and respect for dogs, as well as your amazing ability to handle them, some of which are up to 150 pounds? You’ve come to the right place to give your career a boost, while providing the necessary alpha-dog leadership that will help ensure that our guests have every reason to keep their tails wagging.

Put your judgment skills to task as you maintain, supervise, feed, water, and play with the dogs. Your friendliness and approachability will be assets as you meet with pet parents during pick up and drop off. Also, your daily behavioral logs will keep them abreast of how the day went for their dogs, as well as alert them to your recommendations for other services in their best interest, from grooming, to obedience issues, to veterinary attention.
