COMPTROLLER (ACCOUNTING MANAGER)
Local Company seeking qualified Comptroller. We are a local manufacturing facility with machine shop, fabricators, welders, QA Inspection, and an in house shipping department capable of serving customers both domestically and internationally. We are tightly regulated, and require strict conformance to internal and regulatory requirements. All personnel must pass a Federal security screening. Regular full time employees enjoy a vacation plan, paid holidays, a 401(k) plan, and flexible health benefits. Our typical work hours are 8am 5pm, Monday through Friday.
Requirements: Bachelor's Degree required. Minimum 5+ years experience of principles, practices, and methods of accounting and auditing; principles and practices of financial administration; modern office practices, procedures, data processing, organization, administration, and management. Strong computer skills and MUST be highly proficient in: Microsoft Office GP 2010, QuickBooks Pro 2013, ADP Workforce NO, Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Access and Outlook, Must be able to be quickly trained become highly proficient in Exact Max (ERP Software, manages and maintains all inventory functions), Biometric time clock management, SQL server database management.
Responsibilities: Manage Administration Department: Hire, train, and supervise Administrative Assistant and Bookkeeper; Develop, assist, and implement department policies, procedures, and projects; Develop and maintain audit controls for the financial transactions of the company; Manage employee relations and maintain employee records; Prepare and submit weekly payroll and 401K payments; Maintain employee records; dates hired, wages paid, changes in job responsibilities, evaluations, vacation and sick leave, insurance benefits program, Perform End-of-Period close of financial records; Process Purchase Orders and Purchase Requisitions
