TITLE: Assembler
DEPARTMENT: Assembly
REPORTS TO: Renovate/Assembly Supervisor
PURPOSE: E fficiently produce goods that our customers are proud to purchase.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Maintaining inventory of components
Reading of and understanding of blueprints for part identification and assembly instructions and locations.
Assembling and stenciling for a clean, straight appearance.
Following as well as developing and documenting efficient assembly procedures.
Maintaining a clean and orderly environment.
Maintaining accurate timekeeping on jobs.
Care and protection of assigned tools.
Moving components and final assemblies using lifting, hoists, and forklifts.
This position is subject to overtime.
Skills:
· Blueprint reading
· Physical lifting of up to 50 lbs.
· Proficient math skills
· Ability to distinguish between and use various hand-tools
· General knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics
· Fork Lift Operator experience
· Hoist Operator experience
JOB QUALIFICATIONS :
Physical Demands:
Highly physical, ability to lift 50 pounds, may be exposed to tight workspaces, high workspaces and non-hazardous paint fumes
Work Environment:
Aged manufacturing facility
5 – 5 ½ work days/week
40-50+ hours/week
Safety shoes and ear protection required
