A successful Leadership Development Trainer will have the following:

  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a focus in organizational development, human resources management, psychology, or related field; or two years related experience and/or training; and four plus years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Superior classroom facilitation skills with a minimum of 3 to 5 years experience in leadership development, adult learning, blended learning, and organizational development
  • Strong business acumen including problem solving, critical thinking, and leadership in business environments
  • Adept at handling multiple competing priorities and duties in a fast-paced, result-driven, time-critical, rapidly changing environment with minimal daily oversight
  • Ability to effectively interact with, relate to and partner with all levels of organizational staff. Fundamental manager coaching skills
  • Experience managing people a plus.  Knowledge of management theory required. Ability to travel 50% of the time

 

 

The Leadership Development team at DISH creates, maintains and delivers innovative, high-impact development initiatives for its diverse and competitive leadership team.  In alignment with the company’s strategic direction, the Leadership Development Facilitator will facilitate comprehensive, competency-based leadership trainings for employees ranging from front-line supervisors to Director and VP level leaders.  The Leadership Development Trainer will specialize in topics ranging from building organizational trust to resolving conflict, improving communication and building high-performing teams.

 

 

 

Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:

 

  • Dynamic facilitation of classroom-based, leadership trainings through the application of a variety of instructional techniques such as role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, and lectures
  • Integration of classroom training with diverse, real-world, business-specific situations in order to drive learning outcomes in call centers
  • Improve managerial effectiveness, increase employee satisfaction and retention, and drive organizational performance through participant engagement and accountability
  • Audit classroom performance and participant feedback, suggest alternative delivery techniques, and creatively enhance DISH leadership programs
  • Deliver trainings in multiple locations across the country (travel in excess of 50% may be required)  
  • Partner with local HR teams to provide coaching support
