Overview:

This position is responsible for handling invalid claims routed from Global or Onshore Associates and will oversee all repayment/collections requests for these claims.

Responsibilities:

  • Researches invalid claims received from Research Analyst/Specialist, QA or Global Hub.
  • Determines which invalid claims have been taken in error by customers.
  • Reviews repayment requests with Sales team for additional information and to ensure that repayment by customer is required (i.e. they may work out another deal).
  • Sends repayment requests to customers.
  • Follows up with customers to collect repayments in a timely manner
  • Updates appropriate systems with current activity and includes detailed notes on the customer's commitment to pay, refusal to pay, etc.
  • Communicates with Client on appropriate cash/claims matches and misappropriate applications of cash to claims.
  • Monitors various reports and works with sales team on resolutions for items on the Disallowed ATB/Disallowed at Risk Report and Disallowed Write Off Report.
  • Works with Sales team on collection/repayment follow up with customers.

Requirements

  • Must have prior collections/repay experience.
  • Experience in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry Receivables and/or Collections a plus.
  • Must have prior experience utilizing MS Word and Microsoft Excel. Must be able to type 60 words per minute.
  • Experience analyzing collections data within various types of reports.
  • Experience working with Sales and other teams in managing collections/repayments with customers/clients.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Must have collections and/or repay experience.
  • Must have basic accounting skills.
  • Must have strong analytical skills and ability to read and analyze collections-related reports.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with others. Must be able to operate a calculator, computer, printer, fax machine, telephone, copier, shredder, adding machine, and paper cutter.
