Primary Responsibilities:
  • Develop communications plans aligned
    with established business needs and communications strategies (e.g., key
    messages,
  • target audiences, timeframes, tactics,
    media)
  • Define quantitative and qualitative
    measurement/evaluation processes to assess the effectiveness of communications
    (e.g.,
  • surveys, focus groups, site visits,
    email open rates, interviews, anecdotal data)
  • Define communications channels appropriate for applicable
    audiences
  • Manage communication projects to
    monitor/ensure proper implementation (e.g., role assignments,
    timelines/milestones, budget
  • management, issue tracking,
    deliverables)
  • Perform post-campaign evaluation of
    communications processes, identify lessons learned and recommend changes for
    future
  • campaigns based on results (e.g., apply metrics to
    determine success of the process)
  • Develop communications content, tailored to the specific
    medium and audience requirements (e.g., emails, speeches, scripts, talking
    points, web site back ground, training decks
  • Adhere to applicable internal and
    external communications standards established for the business (e.g., internal
    style guides, AP
  • style guides, communications industry
    standards)
  • Adapt writing style/tone to meet the needs of the
    specific message/audience/channel (e.g., nuance, complexity)
  • Obtain review of communications
    content by internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with applicable
    requirements (e.g., Legal,
  • Clinical, Compliance)
  • Revise/update communications content/approach as needed,
    based on established metrics and feedback processes

Requirements

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree in Communications or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a Communications role focusing on written communication in a professional matrixed organization.
  • 3+ years of Project Management experience.
