Primary Responsibilities:



  • Working with nurse practitioners out in the field

  • Planning, scheduling, implementation of orientation plans with new NPs

  • Work with development of existing NP staff

  • Coaching and mentoring other NPs

  • Building relationships with facility staff and physicians

  • Educating NPs on the OptumHealth model

  • Working with leadership on developmental issues

  • 25-50% caseload medical management and 50-75% education activities


 

Requirements

Required Qualifications:



  • Current, unrestricted NP license the State where this position is located or ability to obtain

  • DEA License or ability to obtain

  • Nurse Practitioner national certification as ANP, FNP, or GNP

  • A clinical background in adult, family or geriatric specialties (minimum one year preferred)

  • Past experience working in a nursing home or with seniors in other settings a plus

  • Intermediate level of proficiency in PC based word processing including Microsoft Word and Outlook

  • Must have reliable transportation
