Time Warner Cable is currently seeking a Dispatcher 1 for our Technical Operations department. Below please find a brief description of the essential duties and responsibilities required to function successfully in this position.
Position SummaryThe purpose of this position is to receive service call requests and dispatch, schedule and follow-up work orders. Minimize missed appointments and maximize Technical Field personnel productivity.
Essential Job FunctionsUnder direct supervision, dispatches timely and efficient customer installation and trouble service assignments, using electronic dispatch equipment
Responds to customer service requests by prioritizing and dispatching work orders to installation and/or service technicians
Ensures daily routes meet drive time, on-time guarantee, productivity and skill set goals
Monitors technician’s work order status and adjusts throughout the day
Maintains regular contact with technicians to provide support or adjust service levels based on customer calls
Places outbound calls to customers both pre-and post-service
Demonstrates ability to learn equipment and steps required for efficient dispatch

Handles routine problems and/or less active regions and follows standard procedures to accomplish assigned tasks

Receives detailed instructions on all work
Job Requirements:Education: High school diploma or recognized equivalent or minimum two (2) years of directly related experience required.
Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of cable industry or service industry is helpful.
Experience with CRTs, calculator, 10-key, telephone, cash register and personal computer.
Prior customer service experience in cable, field or office environment
Ability to maintain records in a well-organized manner.
Good verbal, written and interpersonal communications
Education and Experience:High School Diploma/Recognized Equivalent or minimum five (5) years of directly related experience required
