Manpower is currently hiring an Assembler for one of our clients in Phoenix, AZ! Job Responsibilities: *Basic assembly/pack distribution positions under entry level manufacturing and warehouse conditions. *Perform a variety of manual or machine assembly tasks associated with building Printed Wiring Board (PWB) or unit Assemblies for various aerospace applications. *Assemble a variety of electronic units using proper assembly techniques (of varying complexity) *Identify correct parts, components, wires and other materials by part markings, color codes, container labels, etc. *Utilize a variety of hand tools (manual and power) *Solder electronic components *Operate assembly machines *Measure, mix and apply a variety of chemicals and adhesives *Perform measurements using measuring instruments *Read and interpret assembly instructions, process instructions and engineering standards *Utilize computer systems (e.g. work instructions, labor charging, and standards) *Process material requisitions in accordance with established procedures *Generate Non-Conforming Material (NCM) reject tags (short & long form) and respond to corrective actions (CAs) -Check and verify per work instructions *Recognize and take steps to resolve assembly/work area issues *Perform material handling tasks -Maintain accurate records of all work performed (e.g. labor charging, verification, assembly data, route card) *May require use of simple hand and power tools *Must be dependable, punctual, flexible and cooperative *Must be able to read, write, and communicate in basic English *Ability to add, subtract, count parts, and match numbers to inventory records *Ability to understand routing, packing and assembly instructions or procedures *Ability to understand, follow, and apply operational and technical instruction, written and verbal *Capable of exercising good judgment and sound decision-making in performing responsibilities *Ability to quickly learn new production/distribution techniques and equipment, and adapt new applications to the work environment *Must be able to utilize simple go/no go test equipment and gauges to check for component operation, binds, and clearances and make simple adjustments *Responsible for quality of own work in an environment where errors may cause rework or scrap expense *Checks the work products of other assemblers for defects. *Fills out audit checklists, as needed *Attend meetings as required *Moderate physical exertion caused by repetitive handling of parts and containers; standing, stooping, bending, reaching and lifting *Generally lifting less than 25 pounds Requirements: *High school diploma or equivalent Contract Length: 6 months Pay: $9.55/hr For additional details on this role contact: Anne Paprocki Email: Anne.paprocki@manpowergroup.com Please go to www.manpowerjobs.com and create a profile with us and contact this recruiter directly.
