Manpower is currently hiring a Maintenance Mechanic for one of our clients in Berea, OH! PRIMARY FUNCTION: The multi-craft Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing all aspects of the facility; including machinery, equipment, buildings and grounds. In a self-directed work environment, the multi-craft Maintenance Technician's duties include, but are not limited to, preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, systems and components. * Follow all safety procedures * Adhere to company policy and procedures * Act as a role model within and outside the company * Perform duties as workload necessitates * Maintain a positive and respectful attitude and demeanor * Communicate regularly with supervisor about Department issues * Demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload * Consistently report to work on time prepared to perform duties of position * Meet department productivity standards * Participate in Continuous Improvement activities ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Understand Total Productive Manufacturing (TPM) philosophies and techniques * Ability to setup and operate machines * Must be able to work from blueprints * Must have a good understanding of shop mathematics * Ability to maintain and lubricate machine tools and equipment * Skilled in the use of machine tools and equipment such as mills, lathes, grinders and various hand tools. * Ability to weld parts using arc or gas welding * Ability to install and repair electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical components of industrial machines and equipment * Ability to trouble-shoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components for problems, and make necessary repairs. * Maintain work area in accordance with 5S practices and methods as outlined by supervisor * Participate in problem solving activities and teams * Follow all safety rules, report all accidents or unsafe conditions to supervision immediately and wear all required personal protective equipment * Perform other duties as assigned Requirements: *High School Degree or Equivalent. *Working knowledge of cardinal safety procedures and methods such as LOTO, Confined Spaces, Electrical Safe Work Practices, Hot Work Permitting, etc. *Specialty training in maintenance technologies, PLC, CNC, or other technical fields a plus. * In addition, specific courses and/or job training in electronic principles and repair techniques may be required. *Prefer three (3) - five (5) years experience in a diversified maintenance technology field, including experience with mechanical repairs, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical/electronics, machining, and fabrication. *Must possess demonstrable skills in the use of machine blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and the use of inspection/test equipment.
