$9.50/hour

Job Description:

Responsible for performing production work in manufacturing. Starts, operates, tends, stops, and cleans machines. Assembles and packages finished product. Inspects product to ensure high quality standards. You would usually work as part of a team under the supervision of a shift leader.

Essential Functions

1. Measuring grading and feeding batches of raw materials into production machinery.
2. Operating production line equipment.
3. Reporting equipment faults to maintenance staff or supervisor.
4. Monitoring the production process and carrying out basic testing and quality checks.
5. Storing goods and raw materials in a factory or warehouse.
6. Using lifting equipment and forklift trucks as needed.
7. Packing goods ready for shipment in crates and other containers.
8. Cleaning and maintaining work areas and machinery.

Specifications

1. Excellent computer skills
2. Excellent math skills
3. Willing and able to work with chemicals
4. Willing and able to lift 50 lbs
5. Ability to learn new job functions as needed.
6. Ability to train other operators in all aspects of the department.
7. Ability to follow instructions and lead area employees with little supervision.
8. Ability to follow all safety and environmental standards for the department.
