The Local Retailer Sales Channel has been a key contributor to DISH’ success and has helped propel DISH to the Fortune 200 company that it is today. This Sales Channel is responsible for partnering with authorized DISH retailers and developing go to market strategies that will increase our retailer’s production and profitability.  

  • A successful Accounts Manager will become knowledgeable in every facet of their retailers’ business including but not limited to: short and long term goals, local competition, customer base, turnover, hiring practices, etc. We seek candidates with financial, marketing, sales and business development acumens.

  • Effectively respond to and interact with all levels of organizational staff.
  • Excellent presentation/facilitation, organizational, analytical, interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.
  • High level of computer expertise, including use of internet, database, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation applications. 
  • Flexible, innovative and the ability to manage time and priorities in a fast paced, growth-oriented and time-critical environment. 
  • Ability to travel 60-80% of the time.
  • Must maintain valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; 3+ years related experience, 1-2 years outbound sales experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

DISH is dependent on the Accounts Manager to drive the success of the Local Retailer Sales Channel. This person is responsible for managing, developing, and growing the business of the authorized DISH retailers throughout their respective markets. 

  • Through a solid business relationship, assists retailers to meet and exceed activation and retention goals through goal setting.
  • Advises dealers, distributors, and clients concerning sales and advertising techniques.
  • Develops a comprehensive knowledge of DISH Network products and the video delivery industry from continued education, training, and self-education.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of all policies, promotions and procedures. This includes items such as: current promotions, retailer commissions, Co-op program, warranty & service, Programming and installation.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of the Retailer Care Site features and functions and has the ability to demonstrate and communicate care site features.
  • Reviews in detail, all Corporate and Regional documentation and is fully accountable for the information contained within all Facts Blasts, Press Releases, and e-mails.
