A large plastics compnay located in Mankato, MN is looking for injection molding set up technicians on 2nd and 3rd shift.
Duties:
-On a day to day basis, the candidate will be setting up mulitple machines. Imperial Plastics is a a custom Mold shop with a variety of different produts and sizes of machines.
-The set up technican will work on Toyo and Nissei ranging from 40T to 950 T. This company has all of the safety equipment in place in order to lift and set molds. The job duties are as follows:
-Perform all mechanical set ups of molds (Hang molds) for new jobs and tear down on completed jobs.
- Will set proper heat setting on machines and machine run speeds. The candidate will monitor cycle counts and make sure the machine is set up accordining to the cycle times. Will hook up plumbing (water lines), electrical and hydraulic lines which run through molds.
-Make all mechanical adjustments necessary during the machine runs to make sure that parts meet specifications.
-Maintain all necessary paperwork.
-Train operators, help direct, provide feedback to and supervise operators at work. Responsible for 8-12 machines at a time.
-May fill in as an operator when needed.
Requirements:
-In this 5 year time you need experience with set up, tear down, adjustments, paperwork, quality checks, and working with operators.
-Must be able and willing to perform general labor aspects of job such as adding plastic pellets to machine, make boxes, material movement.
-Must lift upto 75lbs
