As the Associate Director, Actuarial Services you will be a State Actuary supporting the Individual medical product line within UnitedHealth One. You will work with the health plans to develop product strategy and pricing for the on-exchange individual products. You will be a subject matter expert and trusted advisor for health plan leadership in ensuring that program rates are competitive, adequate and actuarially sound. You will lead analytical efforts to support the rate setting process, and will determine its impact on premiums and various product proposals. You will prepare, support, and review the regulatory filings.  Additionally you will evaluate actuarial models and analyze competitive landscape.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree


• 5+ years of Actuarial experience


• Prior Actuarial experience in health care, specifically with experience in developing program rates and pricing methodologies


• Demonstrated leadership experience


• Advanced level proficiency in building models in MS Excel, SAS and/or SQL


• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• ASA or FSA designation


• 2+ years of supervisory experience


• Regulatory filing experience
