Remote Network Operations Center Technician



Our client, a leading technology team, has an immediate opening for an experienced Remote Network Operations Center (NOC) Technician, at their Oak Brook, IL headquarters.



The Remote Network Operations Center (NOC) Technician will work with a broad range of technologies such as Dell servers, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL, Symantec Anti-virus, Symantec Backup Exec, Cisco firewalls and routers, SonicWALL TZ-series firewalls, Acronis imaging software, tape backup libraries, online backups, hosted IP phone systems, and other storage systems including Storage Area Networks (SAN) and Network Attached Storage (NAS) solutions.



Job Description:

From the Oak Brook headquarter office

Professionally interact with clients over the phone

Deliver preventive technical maintenance as well as Level 1 and Level 2 troubleshooting services

On occasion, work on location to provide IT network and desktop design, deployment, maintenance and troubleshooting services



Job Requirements:

College Degree or comparable work experience (MIS or IT degree preferred).

Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in the IT services industry or in a corporate IT department.

At least one year of help desk or remote support experience is a plus.

Good planning and problem solving skills.

Advanced written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent customer service skills.



Experience working in many of the following areas: Windows 7/Vista/XP; Office 365; Windows 2012/2008/2003 Server; SBS 2011/2008/2003; Exchange 2010/2007/2003; VMWare ESXi & Microsoft HyperV; SQL 2008/2005/2000; Office 2010/2007/2003; Symantec Backup Exec; Symantec Endpoint; APC Battery Back-Up Systems; Cisco ASA and PIX Firewalls; SonicWALL TZ-Series Firewalls; Hosted SPAM Solutions including Postini and MX Logic; Tape and Online Back-Up Solutions; Hosted IP Phone Systems; Android, iPhone and Blackberry support; and NAS & SAN solutions.
