IT Project Manager Customer Care - Full-time / Part-time

The IT Project Manager, Customer Care will support our Customer Care business partners which cover the Parts, Service & Collision lines of business within the organization. Typical projects will involve development of third party vendor or internally developed IT solutions which will be deployed to retail locations in pilot and general rollout phases. The associate would be asked to take on full ownership of assigned projects in the traditional project manager role or be asked to assume a supporting role in projects being managed by other project managers within the department. The ideal candidate will maintain strong business relationships with sponsors, vendors and across corporate/field IT departments to manage and deliver quality projects on time and on budget.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform Project Request reviews and scoping
• Prepare Work Breakdown Structures to identify all project work
• Work with project team to develop activity list & duration estimates
• Develop and maintains project schedules using MS Project Server
• Prepare Project Charter, Transition to Support & Closure documents
• Prepares Cost Estimates and tracks project costs through project lifecycle
• Conduct Project Risk Assessments
• Communicate project status to management and key stakeholders
• Coordinate technical JAD discussions between internal IT departments and vendors for IT due diligence
• Coordinate SWAT technical discussions between vendor and internal IT departments to resolve chronic issues
• Prepare and track Change Control tickets and work orders
• Attend weekly Change Control meetings to facilitate change approval
• Coordinate user acceptance testing where needed for software upgrades and new releases
• Create, maintain & distribute project issue logs to projects stakeholders
• Facilitate project status conference calls to review issues and communicate progress updates
• Attend PMO Project Management meetings to discuss incoming approved project requests and present Project Charters and Project Closure documentation
• Work closely with vendors to plan implementation of upcoming product changes

Minimum Qualifications:

• 1 - 3 years Project Analysis, Project Coordination or Project Mgmt experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication & presentation skills
• Ability to interact with associates at all levels of the organization
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to multitask and work on multiple projects
• Knowledge in MS applications Excel, Word, Power Point, Visio, Project
• Ability to prepare process diagrams
• Detail Oriented
• Strong Customer Service skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Project Mgmt Institute Certifications: PMP or CAPM
• Knowledge of Project Management Tools & Methodologies
• Retail Automotive knowledge
