Position Summary

The Senior Analyst EDI is responsible for the management of EDI partnerships on relational databases, including all maintenance and upgrades.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining EDI trading partnerships on relational databases for Order to Cash clients, which includes map development, testing with new trading partners, and interfacing with OTC clients on day-to-day requests.
  • Responsible for special projects involving databases to meet client and customer needs as required.
  • Manage helpdesk requests from internal associates for assigned clients, troubleshoots data issues and mapping errors.
  • Perform system testing to support software upgrades.
  • Write custom queries and programs to update the database.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation and standards.
  • Serve as a key member of the disaster recovery team, by backing up media necessary for database restoration.
  • Serve as primary interface for database-related issues.
  • Conduct research pertaining to future growth and development of hardware and software.

Minimum QualificationsMinimum Qualifications

Education Level: (Required): Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience



3-5 years of experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods industry

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
  • Must possess an in-depth knowledge of necessary operating systems.
  • Must have experience with ERP systems.
  • Must have extensive knowledge of EDI implementation and trading relationships.
  • Must possess an in-depth knowledge of X12 standards and the ability to translate business and technical specifications.
  • Must have experience mapping EDI transaction sets.
  • EDI trading relationships using both VAN and AS2 connections.
  • Must have working knowledge of graphical mapping tools and related formulas.
  • Must possess functional knowledge of Crystal Reports.
  • Must have exceptional analytic and troubleshooting skills.
  • Must perform the job safely and utilize proper safety techniques and use of equipment when appropriate.
  • Excellent written communication and verbal communication skills

  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle a fast-paced work environment
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to change and alter according to changes in projects or business environment

Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
