Industrial/Structural/Pipe Welder – Welding – Skilled labor / Metal Fabricator

Job Responsibilities

As a Welder, you will operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments, using processes such as gas tungsten arc, gas metal arc, flux-cored arc, plasma arc and shielded metal arc, resistance welding, and submerged arc welding. You will be responsible for welding components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions. In this role you will also lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly, using straight edges, combination squares, calipers, and rulers. The Industrial Welder will also be responsible for examining work pieces for defects and measure work pieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.

Additional responsibilities for the Industrial Welder will include:
  • Monitor the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts or warping, shrinking, distortion, or expansion of material
  • Detect faulty operation of equipment or defective materials and notify supervisors


Location

We have clients located in Southeast Houston, Pearland, Pasadena, Ship Channel, East Houston, Deer Park, Galena Park, Channelview, and areas South of Houston.

Job Requirements



As an Industrial Welder, you must have at least 3 to 5 years MIG / TIG welding experience. You must be able to read blue prints, operate a press brake, shear, have working knowledge of stainless steel welding, some exotic alloys, some exotic alloys, sheet metal layout, hydraulics and knowledge of equipment fabrication.

Additional requirements for the Industrial Welder will include:
  • A strong work ethic and ability to work independently
  • Ability to pass a drug test and a criminal background check
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Adaptability to temperature changes; hot and cold
  • Welder Certifications strongly preferred
