The preference would be for the candidate to reside or be within close proximity to the Northeast region. It is imperative that the candidate be able to work autonomously and is very comfortable with virtual interaction with their reporting manager, fellow team members and stakeholders. This is a market facing and multifaceted Dental Benefits executive position established to drive future growth. Regional Market Solution Specialists will be required to initiate necessary product, network, pricing, and positioning strategies at the regional and national level for all unique market segments.


 


Implement new strategies to position specialty benefits to drive profitable growth and increase penetration on the existing UnitedHealthcare book of business. This requires intimate working knowledge of product and distribution within each region as well as developing effective local UHC leadership relationships.


 


Primary Responsibilities:



  • Develop and execute on partner channel marketing strategy including core messaging, product positioning, presentations, demos and sales tools to support ancillary product sales

  • Proactively communicate to senior level management proposed solutions and recommended courses of action for team projects and issues, as well as company direction

  • Establish and grow strong customer relationships with small business and key accounts to maximize sales and revenue potential and achieve the required market penetration level. When appropriate, drive from the top meetings between medical channel partners and Specialty leaders to establish key growth initiatives

  • Develop educational content & framework to increase knowledge within the partner channels regarding products, segments and strategies

  • Conduct dental business review meetings with UHC/UHCSB leaders at the market level

  • Sales Metrics - Market Specialists will continually monitor key sales metrics relative to targets

  • Provide regional requirements input into annual and ongoing provider recruitment planning

  • Ensure relevancy, accuracy, and completeness of innovation solutions

  • Identify critical high value strategies for developing innovative solutions

  • Determine solution objectives and tactical direction, then drive leadership, team resources and users to achieve the solution objectives

  • Determine skills necessary to deliver scope of solution and work effectively to procure, organize, and focus teams

Requirements

Required Qualifications:



  • 5+ years in Sales or a Sales related role (.i.e. Account Management, Marketing, Product, Customer Relations or Training roles ideally with specific emphasis in dental insurance)

  • Ability to identify and capitalize on market/competitive analysis, understanding of the dental industry and has the ability to convert to actionable strategies

  • Experience working in Healthcare or Employee Benefits space

  • Experience presenting to or consulting with Middle Market customers (50-3k lives)

  • Proven ability in developing hypotheses and analysis techniques to support ideation efforts

  • Experience leading senior leadership teams through all stages of the ideation, product/service/network definition

  • Experience defining scope, objectives and approach for creating new offerings and operational innovations

  • Experience at delivering persuasive messages based on sound, thorough, fact-base analysis and logic to compel Senior Leadership teams to act

  • Candidate must have intermediate to advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills

  • Must have experience presenting to and managing multiple levels of key stakeholders

  • Candidate must be commutable to listed Western Region Health plan office as needed, travel up to 50% of time with in region. Must be comfortable working with a virtual team and leadership

Preferred Qualifications:



  • Understanding of the financials of case management and rating groups

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field

  • Experience working with Dental insurance products
