Summary
Completes shipments by processing and loading orders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
*Move freight, stock or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, or containers by hand or using a forklift or other motorized equipment.
*Sort cargo before loading or unloading.
*Attach identifying tags to containers or mark them with identifying information.
*Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs.
*Stack cargo in designated locations as directed, using pallets or cargo boards.
*Maintain equipment storage areas to ensure that inventory is protected.
*Provides support in other areas in order to support the company's success.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
High school diploma. Previous work-related skill, knowledge and experience is needed.
Preferred Skills
*The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull or carry heavy objects over long periods of time.
*The ability to operate a forklift, sit down and stand up forklift.
*The ability to read and write in English.
*Ability to work quickly and accurately.
