Job overview

  • Maintain an efficient, well organized main linen room, break out the house, record absent/tardy daily, orient new employees and perform housekeeping duties as needed to ensure the smooth operation of the housekeeping department.
  • What you will be doing
  • Schedule employees' weekly and housekeeping assignments daily and call employees in as needed to ensure proper staffing and completion of work.
  • Maintain and control supply and linen inventories; issue and receive guest and cleaning supplies to ensure appropriate levels are maintained and control costs.
  • Respond to all incoming calls and handle guest requests, issues and complaints to provide quality service and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain daily payroll data and formulate weekly/biweekly payroll in prescribed manner.
  • Maintain cleanliness of main linen room and offices.
  • Perform basic clerical assignments.
  • Maintain accurate records pertaining to loaned equipment.
  • Issue uniforms and maintain uniform logs.

Requirements

  • Ability to perform any task in the housekeeping department. Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
  • Ability to direct personnel to achieve desired results. Ability to meet standards of appearance.
  • Can communicate well with guests.
  • Must have good command of English language, both spoken and written.
