DISH’s Media Sales team is an innovative, passionate and fun group working hard and finding reward in radically changing TV advertising.   We are based out of New York City, with offices in Chicago, Denver and Los Angeles. The Addressable Advertising team provides advertisers with a way to delivery household impression to their exact targets without the need to purchase non-target households. We work closely with our Viewer Measurement team to combine powerful household level reporting data, analytics and expertise to help our sales staff succeed in a rapidly evolving environment.

A successful Data and Analytics Manager will have the following:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from four-year college or university; advanced degree preferred
  • 5-7 years of data analysis and working with product or project management teams in a development or corporate environments
  • 1-2 years experience leading a team
  • Familiarity with big data projects, tools, and technique, segmentation and ad targeting
  • Experience with SQL and scripting tools; willingness to be hands on where needed
  • Excellent communication skills and have the proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Experience working with IT and / or DBAs in respect to projects involving large databases
  • Strong work ethic; personable and must be able to prioritize tasks and deliverables

The Data and Analytics Manager will support the on-air addressable Media Sales team and sales efforts through:

  • Managing 1-2 analysts in data and analytics efforts related to TV campaigns
  • Developing critical analytics using key Dish data sources including the viewer measurement data and Dish CRM data
  • Working with Account Executives to develop client proposals; being the data expert on the Dish client team
  • Demonstrating thought leadership by writing papers, attending conferences
  • Developing key relationship with Analytics heads at advertising agencies, clients and other key industry players
  • Working with legal to work through contracts with data suppliers and vendors
