The Account Manager position plays a vital role as the face-to-face sales arm of DISH with a primary focus on door-to door sales.  The Account Manager will play a vital role in building the door-2-door channel at schools outside of the traditional recruiting opportunities within the I-15 corridor.

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university or 5+ years related experience, 2+ years supervisory/management experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Door-to-door sales and sales management experience preferred
  • Ability to effectively respond to and interact with all levels of organizational staff
  • Competencies include excellent presentation/facilitation, organizational, analytical, interpersonal and written/oral communication skills
  • Requires high level computer expertise, including use of Internet, database, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation applications
  • Flexible, innovative with ability to manage staff, responsibilities and priorities in a fast paced, growth-oriented and time-critical environment
  • Ability to travel up to 80% of the time

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for building and managing DishOne’s University intern program with a focus on recruiting and training
  • Work with Sales Manager to develop the overall strategy of this program required to achieve recruiting goals and activation targets
  • Ensure all interns are trained before the summer sales season begins
  • Set expectation with interns around the importance of quality customers and KPIs; train and work with interns to achieve these targets
  • Work with interns to provide continuous support throughout the summer season, including side-by-side selling
  • Focus on intern retention throughout the summer and for upcoming years
  • Set expectations and hold the interns accountable for performance and as representatives of the DISH brand
  • Liaison between DISH, DishOne, and interns
  • Build and maintain positive business relationships with interns
  • Continuously monitor and report on performance of program, including an analysis of sales results and KPIs
  • Identify areas of opportunity and implement changes as necessary to capitalize on these opportunities
  • Work with marketing to create marketing support plan for program, including the creation of recruiting materials, brochures, and videos
