Maintenance Laborer - 2nd Shift

Works under close supervision to perform routine duties safely and as assigned to maintain equipment and the facility.  Duties include all, but not limited to, those listed below.  Assist other maintenance personnel as required.  Follow all shop and safety rules. 

EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE:

High School degree or equivalent preferred but not required. 

WORK EXPERIENCE:

Prior maintenance experience preferred but not required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Painting
• Cleaning
• General PM’s
• Local town runs
• Power floor sweeper and scrubber
• Motorized lift
• Paint equipment
• Weather duties (snow removal, etc)
• Able to possess and use general hand tools (screwdriver, wrenches, etc)
• Building system knowledge (emergency exits, fire extinguisher, lights, etc)
• Able to complete preventive maintenance checks and general work orders as assigned
• General sanitation duties
• Maintain a clean work environment
• Other duties as assigned 

REQUIRED SKILLS AND/OR KNOWLEDGE UPON QUALIFICATION IN POSITION:

• Reading skills
• Basic math skills
• forklift license
• operate sit down and stand up forklifts
• PPE
• chauffeur’s license
• Able to obtain and use general hand tools, including small powered tools (drills, table saw, grinder, etc) 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Repetitive hand/arm movement
• Pushing pulling
• Bending/stooping
• Lifting up to 35lbs
• Standing for long periods of time
• Limited sitting
• Heat controlled environment/not air conditioned
