Job overview

The Banquet Captain is responsible for: training and directing the banquet staff in servicing all banquet activities in order to ensure a successful function and repeat business. 

What you will be doing

  • Be responsible for maximizing customer satisfaction by coordinating banquet functions in accordance with hotel standards.
  • Be responsible for ensuring efficient operation of banquet functions by coordinating and providing work direction for banquet personnel.
  • Work closely with the kitchen to coordinate cooking, food presentation and delivery times for each function.
  • Provide employees with the information needed to perform their job effectively.

Requirements

  • Comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.
  • Knowledge of all applicable federal, state and local health and safety regulations.
