Manufacturing Technician

We have a full-time/part-time opening for a Manufacturing Technician.

Must be able to work various shifts per week.

Position Summary: In this role, you will be responsible for meeting daily production goals in support of one or more of the following areas: Picking, assembly, inspection and testing. Responsibilities: *Operate computer-based assembly equipment to assemble optical subsystem to meet production and quality goals in a clean-room environment. *Follow procedures for QMS and identify quality issues *Maintain a clean work area including safe handling hazardous chemicals (solvents, acids, etc.), removing trash, cleaning up the clean-room etc. *Interface with engineers and support development efforts by processing wafers and components as instructed. *Conduct preventative maintenance and SPC activities. Qualification and Experience: *High School diploma with 2 - 4 years of related experience. *Must be able to perform repetitive hand activities including fine manipulation of microscopic parts and wafers. *Must be able to perform light lifting and carrying duties. *Demonstrate computer proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. *Experience in a Clean Room environment and/or operation of wafer-based manufacturing equipment or similar. Working Conditions: Perform duties in a clean room environment, which requires special protective-outer garments (provided by the company) to maintain cleanliness in the workspace. Area will be temperature controlled.
