Sr. IT Architect – Cloud Services Plays acritical role in defining and enforcing the technical and applicationarchitectures upon which NaviSite will deliver Managed and Cloud Servicesto our customers. Working across organizations, a Sr. Technical Architectworks to define, implement and enforce best practices and designs for newand existing customers. The Senior Technical Architect is a high impact,very visible role, responsible for identifying best of breed technologiesand methodologies to support delivery of NaviSite services.
JobResponsibilitiesProvide technical leadership for all facets of the entire NaviSite productline including Networking, Server, Storage and Backup solutions.
Participate in vendor meetings to determine business and technicalrequirements that will be used to develop solutions that map withinNaviSite’s capabilities.
Provide technical product expertise during review of prospective andexisting customers, advising on deployment architectures driving in-depthtechnical discussions.
Articulate and define IT best practices for new product offerings anddrive adherence to these technical architectures.
Provide technical and liaison services for NaviSite Service Deliveryregarding the implementation, configuration, performance monitoring,tuning, and customer production cutover of new customer environments.
Work closely with Senior Service Delivery leadership and third partyvendors and service providers to evaluate and recommend hardware andtechnology direction.
Provide technical assistance with hardware purchases and procurement asrequired.
Job Requirements:· Experienced, focused, performance-driven and professionalto serve as a technical evangelist for the NaviSite product set.
3 or more years’ experience in a senior IT architectural/engineering rolewith a similar suite of product lines or service offering (hosting,outsourcing, ISP, networking, DR Planning, cloud computing etc…)
Strong Unix, Windows, VMware expertise 5 to 10 years technical experiencein an IT technical leadership role
Experienced with keeping both internal and external clients happy byproviding outstanding service with the ability speak with the most technicaland non-technical person in the room.
A team player who will help mentor teammates who are looking to get to thenext level.
Willing to identify and drive strategically technology decisions toaccelerate customer expansion and reduce servicedelivery timelines.
