Ocala Health is the health organization which encompasses Ocala Regional Medical Center , a 200-bed facility located in the heart of Ocala, and West Marion Community Hospital , a 70-bed hospital located in West Marion County. The organization includes the only Commission on Cancer approved cancer center in Marion County and inpatient Joint Care Center. We are pleased to announce that the construction of our Cardia/catheterization/Special Procedures Laboratory on the campus of West Marion Community Hospital is well underway. This Laboratory will be the first phase (of three phases) to be completed, totaling an investment of approximately $45 million by HCA into our community hospitals.
The 4820 square foot Cardiac Catheterization/Special Procedures Laboratory is slated to open near the end of March, 2015. This state-of-the-art GE Innova laboratory will provide diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures, as well as, interventional radiology services. Our exceptionally trained interventional cardiologists and radiologists will provide services at both Ocala and West Marion Hospital laboratories, therefore assuring that the same level of unsurpassed care will be available at both Ocala Health facilities.
In addition to fully supporting our community’s cardiovascular healthcare needs, this expansion also provides an opportunity for Ocala Health to support our community by offering employment opportunities for healthcare workers, such as RN’s, Cardiovascular Technologists and Radiology Technologists. During the course of this three phase expansion, an additional 75 healthcare workers will be employed.
Radiology Tech or CVT/RCIS. Either would need ACLS and BLS. Prefer cath lab experience
