Nurse Manager – Cardiac Cath Lab
Centennial Heart and Vascular Center Cardiac Cath/EP Lab : The Cardiac Catheterization Lab staff assists in the performance of basic diagnostic to complex interventional Cardiac, Peripheral and Electrophysiology procedures under the direction of the Cardiologist, Electrophysiologist or Vascular Surgeon. The Cardiac Catheterization Lab consists of four Cardio-vascular procedure suites, two Electrophysiology suites, one Endovascular procedure suite and a Hybrid room.

General Essential Functions
Determines needed staffing fluctuations during the shift
Serves as educator, mentor
Assigns preceptor to new staff
Ensures all paperwork and competency complete on new hires during orientation and ongoing for current staff
Provides leadership with communication flow and the implementation of area specific policies and practice guidelines
Demonstrates knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients
Provides direction and acts as resource to other members of the team to ensure comprehensive and safe patient care
Maintains aseptic and safe environment in the Cardiac Prep/Recovery, CV PACU, and CCL-EP area.
Maintain active role with quality data collection and performance improvement projects.
Develop and maintain schedule for all Cardiac Prep/Recovery, CV PACU, CCL-EP personnel and manage Kronos edits and payroll.
Collaborate with physicians and administrative leadership related to growth and initiatives.
Develops performance plans, identifies performance issues, and manages performance and career development of direct reports.
Approves and contributes to In-service education programs
Investigates, resolves, and documents resolution of complaints or incidents concerning patients.
Maintains knowledge and follows all TJC, CMS requirements
Successfully completes annual review and competencies on all employees
Continually looks for performance improvement initiatives
Cross coverage for supervision of Cardiac Prep and Recovery and CV PACU
Other duties as assigned
Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
BSN preferred.
3-5 years leadership experience.
Current licensure by Tennessee Board of Nursing or RCIS/RCES or ARRT/CVT.
Current BLS and ACLS.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
