Security Officer Unarmed PRN

Demonstrates accountability and responsibility in ensuring facility and surrounding campus is secure for the protection of visitors, patients and staff by following the security management plan and administrative directives. Provides protection for all hospital resources, inclusive of financial resources, equipment, and property and contributes to general crime prevention in assigned areas. Contributes to the safety and well being of hospital guests and employees by escorting them to and from the hospital and parking lots, as requested. Provides support and assistance to nursing units and responds immediately to emergency calls. Assists in restraining patients, transporting patients to the morgue and other duties as requested. Uses system to report potential patient safety issues. Follows established guidelines for reporting a significant medical error or an unanticipated outcome in the patient's care which results in patient harm.

High school diploma or GED required.

Current driver's license required

2 years experience in Security or Law Enforcement preferred.

BLS AHA(American Heart Association)

Must have a Class D Security license and no points on driving license. Florida drivers license is required.

Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred

Strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills required

Able to work in a fast-paced environment
