Do you think you know the ins and outs of the business?  As a Universal Orlando Turnstile Attendant, you will be able to prove it as you are processing guests in and out of the park through entrance and exit turnstiles. Consistently providing information, directions and/or assistance to our guests as required while projecting the most cheerful and helpful attitude toward each and every guest each and every day.


Turnstile Attendants at Universal Orlando are responsible for:

  • Collecting park passes from guests ensuring passes are the proper ticket type for admittance and for correct date
  • Providing information, assistance and direction to guests.
  • Assuring guests have proper criteria for re-admittance to park after exiting temporarily.
  • Understanding and actively participating in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established Universal Orlando policies, procedures, training and Team Member involvement activities.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.



To perform the role of a Turnstile Attendant successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Consistent attendance and punctuality is a job requirement.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Operations experience preferred. 
  • Six months to one year guest service and/or front counter experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to print and speak simple sentences. 
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.  
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals and ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. 
  • Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.


The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of the Turnstile Attendant job.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the individual is regularly required to stand, talk or hear, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; frequently required to walk, reach with hands and arms. 
  • The individual must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include:  Close vision, Distance Vision, Color Vision, Depth Perception.


The work environment characteristics described below are representative of those an individual encounters while performing the essential functions of the Turnstile Attendant job.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions, frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts.
  • While performing this job, the noise level in the work environment is moderate.
  • Generally routine; established precedents; practices and procedures exist; detailed understanding of work unit.
