The Part Time On-site Service Consultants support Grainger's strategic vision to be our customer's first choice by helping them manage their inventory. In addition the team member assist to navigate customers to solutions that help them get the job done and they drive sales growth by engaging in actions that identify leads for further selling opportunities with every customer.
The PT On-site Service Consultants will assist customers in the branch location as well as on-site at our customers' location.
Grainger's typical operating hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Must be able to work at least 20 hrs per week/$19 per hour
The duties of this position include but are not limited to:
* Services multiple customer accounts on a daily basis
* Stocks purchased product in designated customer locations
* Provides services, training, and consulting to assigned customers regarding new and emerging offerings as those are developed & deployed by Grainger
* Builds customer relationships by identifying customer needs and/or providing solutions on each visit.
* Works collaboratively with sales partners to expand Grainger services and offerings in assigned customer locations
* Works on-site at customers' facilities. This is typically a plant type of facility. Conditions can be noisy and space can be limited
Requirements include but are not limited to:
* 2-4 years experience in selling environment
* Ability to identify opportunities and negotiate for the sale
* Self-motivated, with high energy and dedication to customer service and sales growth
* Comply with the safety and inspection requirements of the facility where the service is being provided.
* Will be required to lift, push or pull weights ranging from light to heavy on a regular basis.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Background checks, drug screening may be required (as warranted by Company, customer or DOT requirements in working on-site and/or operating equipment).
* May be required to drive a Grainger vehicle for customer deliveries.
* Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license in State of residence
* Must carry required levels of automobile insurance
