Production Manager - Full-time / Part-time

We have a full-time/part-time opening for a Production Manager.

Must be able to work various shifts per week.

The Production Manager monitors the production process to ensure that the schedule is followed and products are produced on time. The Production Manager may be required to fill in for the Plant Manager during their absence. Main Duties & Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To: Oversees the production process, managing costs closely and ensuring that products are produced and ready for shipment on time. ?Ensures that the products produced and shipped meet SCS standards and customer specifications. ?Ensures that Federal OSHA and plant safety regulations and standards are being utilized. ?Manages the plants? production workforce, resources and production supply inventory to ensure production dates are met. ?Manages the scheduling as prescribed, oversees the use of overtime when necessary and ensure that the schedule will allow the plant to meet customer requirements. ?Exhibits a strong sense of urgency in their position, ensuring that the production process meets targets. ?Communicates the programs and opportunities that Human Resources presents to the employee base. ?Maintains a strong line of communication between the workforce and management teams to ensure that employees stay engaged in their jobs ?Communicates clearly with the other departments in the manufacturing plant. Working closely with other managers and supervisors to enforce the company's policies and goals. ?Assists the Quality department in product improvement projects, working to limprove the quality of the products. ?Encouraging the employee base; training, counseling, disciplining and leading all the production employees. ?Prepares performance appraisals for direct-reports and manages the performance appraisals conducted by the production staff?s direct-reports. ?All other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. ?Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to withstand working in all weather conditions- Work environments are not climate controlled. Work Environment: ?Some tasks and responsibilities are office-based and require working in a climate-controlled office. ?Most tasks and responsibilities require working in a non-climate controlled manufacturing plant. ? (exposure to conditions typical to a manufacturing plant.) ?When in the plant Personal Protective Equipment includes but is not limited to: safety footwear, eye, hearing and hand protection. ?While in the plant, the employee will be exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. ?The employee may be exposed to wet or humid conditions. ?The employee may be exposed to outdoor weather temperatures. ?The employee is regularly exposed to high noise environments. ?The employee may be exposed to extremely dusty environments. ?The employee may be exposed to chemicals used in the process.
