Summary

Sr Specialist Sales Communications
  • Contributes to the achievement of budgeted sales and profits by developing and deploying sales communications in path-to-market and brand strategies, as well as within legal/regulatory guidelines.

Position Summary

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ensures that key communication deliverables in support of Field Sales are executed in an accurate and timely manner on the Sales intranet, including responsibility for a major category (or categories, namely Nutritionals) and brands.
  • Recommends translation and deployment of category and brand objectives, strategies, and programs into consistent and turnkey presentations for Field Sales’ understanding and utilization.
  • Counsels others on developing clear, consistent written communications; the appropriateness of content in relation to Sales objectives and priorities; and the most appropriate communication vehicle(s) to utilize, based on the objective(s) of the communication and the expected outcome(s).
  • Contributes to the development of both routine and ad-hoc communication protocols, processes, formats, tools, and templates to ensure consistent and effective two-way communications between HQ Sales and Field Sales.
  • Manages Marketing, HQ Sales, and Field Sales compliance with established sales communication windows, disciplines, and deadlines.
  • Leads bimonthly communication update meetings with assigned brand and customer development teams to proactively ensure visibility into and readiness for upcoming projects and deliverables.
  • Ensures planning and execution of webcasts on behalf of HQ and Field Sales are successfully managed by Sr. Specialist and/or Specialist roles.
  • Manages the Sales intranet, including administration, troubleshooting, issue resolution, redesign.
  • Manages communication protocols and processes for timely and accurate delivery of selling materials via SharePoint to external Sales Agency(ies),
  • Provides business oversight of 3 rd -party Sales fulfillment activities. Manages vendors and budgets for sales fulfillment materials and sell sheet development (New Items and Bonus Packs.)
  • Manages, supervises and coaches the performance of one Specialist role to ensure ongoing development and achievement of objectives

Minimum QualificationsMinimum Qualifications

Education Level: (Required): Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience



6+ years of experience in a Communications or Sales environment, preferably in the OTC or CPG industry

Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
