Job Description

Food Prep/Service Staff at Moe's Southwest Grill help satisfy our guests' cravings by preparing food and processing transactions efficiently.
Food Prep/Service Staff at Moe's Southwest Grill
* Setting up and maintaining station with materials and supplies.
* Breaking down and cleaning equipment.
* Stocking and replenishing condiments and service stands.
* Ensuring that all food preparations are in accordance with established recipes, menu and portion specifications, and in relation to business volumes.
* Performing food prep duties including cutting, slicing, dicing and proper storage of fresh fruits and vegetables utilized in preparation of food items.
* Performing cooking duties and related production functions.
* Ensuring a high food quality level that meets Moe's Southwest Grill and Dajon Inc. standards and performing daily spot checks of all portioning tools.
* Providing daily documenting and recording of product spoilage.
* Following established safety standards using safe food handling guidelines and cleaning and sanitizing counters and fixtures in the kitchen and service area; maintaining a clean work area in accordance with established standards; ensuring compliance of the State of Virginia's HACCP program.
* Cleaning and sanitizing counters, sinks, and fixtures by following established daily and weekly cleaning schedules.
* Understanding and actively participating in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established Dajon Inc., procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities.
* Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

To perform the role of a Food Prep/Service Staff at Moe's Southwest Grill successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
* Consistent attendance is a job requirement.
* Six months to one year previous line/production cook and/or service experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
* Ability to write simple correspondence.
* Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from guests, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
* Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals and ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
* Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
* Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of the Food Prep/Service Staff at Moe's Southwest Grill job.

* Specific vision abilities required by this job include: Distance Vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more); Depth Perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships).

* While performing the duties of this job, the individual is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts; occasionally exposed to wet, humid conditions (non-weather), fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor weather conditions, extreme heat (non-weather), risk of electrical shock.
* While performing this job, the noise level in the work environment is moderate.
*FOR CATERING DELIVERY DRIVERS ONLY: You must have a valid Driver's Licence, your own vehicle, proof of insurance for vehicle. And all registration and Inspections up to date. Can only have 2 tickets in the last three years! Must be able to work early morning, some weekends if needed, and some Holidays if needed.
