SHIFT: 8HOUR, Varied EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full Time HRS PER PAY PERIOD: 80 JOB ID: 1500009736
To qualify for this position prior experience with food preparation, proper food handling procedures, and sanitation techniques is preferred. Candidates should have demonstrated knowledge of general therapeutic diets, proper food handling techniques, proper operation of food service dishwashing equipment, proper food service sanitation techniques and proper techniques of storing, preparing, holding and service of perishable meats, dairy products, fresh produce and frozen foods.
The incumbent performs a variety of tasks in the kitchen and cafeteria including: delivering patient nourishments and floor stock to nursing departments, doctors lounge and surgery; working patient trayline; delivering patient meals to patient rooms; retrieving soiled trays; warewashing; stocking cafeteria; performing general sanitation duties; putting away groceries, paper supplies, cleaning agents, and frozen foods; setting up catered events per department standards; cooking foods items on a grill; attending customers; operating cash register and food service equipment; handling cash transactions and reconciling deposit. Thoroughly cleans and sanitizes all kitchen areas. The incumbent may have access to third party credit card information and transactional systems (cash registers, point of sale devices, applications supporting credit card transactions, and reports or other documents containing credit card information) from single transactions or a single card at a time.
