FOOD SERVICE WORKER, NUTRITIION SERVICES
Northridge Hospital Medical Center
The FOOD SERVICE WORKER is under the supervision of the Food Service Supervisor, does a variety of general kitchen or cafeteria tasks for provision of meals to patients, staff and visitors. All employees are expected to perform their duties in alignment with the vision and values of the organization. The person doing this job is responsible for a variety of tasks that lead to a high level of customer satisfaction in the most cost-effective manner with respect and dignity .
Requirements: High School or GED. Requires enough basic education to understand and follow standard practice or oral and written instructions. Able to read and write, use simple arithmetic, keep simple records, or use simple office machines. Six (6) months recent Food and Nutrition experience in a hospital or related setting.
This position is represented by SEIU-UHW and covered by the terms and conditions of the collective bargaining agreement.
