Hot Topic District Manager

We are looking for a District Manager for Hot

Topic with specialty apparel, multi-unit experience who will be responsible for

leading and directing a group of stores towards achieving company objectives. Achieves district

operational consistency, communicates and implements company directives in

partnership with Regional Director and HQ.

This position reports

to the Regional Director.

Job

Requirements:

Establishes and maintains

consistent "sales first" focus within district. Ensures that all stores are consistent

in selling skills and providing excellent customer service. Ensures highest volume comp stores

are staffed with the strongest management teams. Identifies market conditions and

volume/merchandise opportunities. Identifies merchandise

opportunities with objective of increasing total store volume. Achieves consistent district

merchandise presentation and visual housekeeping standards. Works with store managers to

formulate game plan to turn around poor performing comp stores. Proactively determines District

manpower needs in support of maintaining a solid management bench. Assesses and develops store staff

to ensure optimum performance. Identifies key personnel within

District and target for development to next level. Ensures training is taking place

at all levels with District. Works with store manager on

interviewing skills with a focus on hiring high caliber candidates. Monitors and controls payroll

usage to meet company expectations. Achieves District shrink at or

below company plan. Monitors and controls store supply

expense. Monitors and controls all aspects

of operational compliance.

Job Requirements:

2 years experience in multi-unit

management - specialty or fast food. Illustrates a dedication to

meeting requirements of internal and external customers, responding to all

customer requests promptly and thoroughly. Strong communication skills

including ability to work in a team environment, give honest, direct

feedback and is a solid verbal and written communicator. Inquisitiveness and open mind regarding

teen music and fashion trends. Meets deadlines, prioritizes

appropriately, copes well with change, and maintains composure under

pressure. Is accountable for results,

approaches obstacles proactively and looks for ways to resolve problems

and issues. Regularly required to sit, stand,

bend and lift/move up to 10 pounds. May lift/move up to 30 pounds

occasionally.
