The Operations Insights team is responsible for supporting the Customer Care Organization by providing business insights and actionable intelligence to drive strategic business recommendations and initiatives. The team is seeking a candidate to produce data visualization tools and supporting applications for analytical purposes.The candidate must be proficient in both conceptual design and physical coding of data visualization tools . A balanced combination of left and right brain approaches are needed as creative solutions are often required, with solid documentation and production practices to follow. The candidate must have a willingness to be agile in roles pertaining to the SDLC. A tolerance for constant interruptions including technical and contextual questions, reprioritized tasks and escalated business responses is critical to success in this position. This is a high visibility role with deliverables to all levels of the business. The ideal candidate will have a passion for building tools that drive change, expose deficiencies and provide resolution for obstacles and pain points. Essential Functions
  • Being able to understand business problems and be able to create data visualization solutions to solve those problems
  • Be able to develop visualization tools to show correlations and cause-effect relationship among various variables
  • Develop web services using Python or Java
  • Write automated tests to ensure code stability
  • Create documentation for software tools including requirements, business rules and data acquisition processes
  • Build cross functional relationships to better understand the overall business and provide continuous improvement to insights produced from the toolsets


QualificationsMinimum Required
  • 3+ years experience with data visualization
  • 5+ years web development experience
  • Experience in either Java (Spring framework) or Python (Django)
  • Experience with API development and REST services
  • Highly proficient in report development and data analysis
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) required
  • SQL experience preferred
  • Formal training in statistics preferred
  • Experience with AWS preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience, MIS or equivalent preferred
