An ideal candidate for our Healthcare Economics Analyst position
would be an individual who has technical expertise and is looking for an
analytical challenge. The role is not
confined to analysis, though, as the ideal candidate can communicate findings
and develop appropriate recommendations and present these results to a
multidisciplinary group. Experience with

Responsibilities:
Perform analysis and reporting
of medical claims data. Utilize personal experience and knowledge to
synthesize information Analyze data utilizing various
methods to evaluate the effectiveness of company Intervention Programs as
well as "slice" the data to produce various management reports. Retrieve data from disparate data systems using a
combination of SQL, Access and Excel Create various reports monthly,
quarterly or annually that track client medical claim utilization,
provider billing patterns and VillageHealth's progress in achieving claim
target goals. Formulate
solutions/recommendations as needed for internal and client use Engage with both internal and
external clients in presenting your analysis Prioritize individual project
workflow while providing necessary updates to senior management. Understand the business process
with the ability to translate business requirements into analytical
reporting Summarize information and effectively communicate
analyses in writing and verbally to customers

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in
engineering, mathematics, statistics, and/or computer science or related
field.
A minimum of three years of
related experience, preferably including at least three years of direct
experience with data-centric software development, or a combination of
education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are
acquired.
Proven success creating
operational metrics and reporting
Technically
competent in MS Excel, MS Access and SQL, and be willing to learn new
internal systems and tools Bachelor’s
degree in engineering, mathematics, statistics, and/or computer science or
related field.
Strong proficiency with data
analysis and statistics, documentation of analysis procedures and
functions, development of analysis tools.
