Job Purpose
To prepare college college students for entry into a business environment by providing opportunities to join The Hertz Corporation, a global leader in mobility and equipment solutions. Hertz provides exciting Intern opportunities for individuals pursuing their degree program. The purpose of the Hertz IT Internship program is to provide hands on experience in a business setting. Key Result Areas:
The eCommerce Intern is responsible for assisting with all facets of studying the information requirements of the business function as they pertain to Hertz’s branded websites (hertz.com, hertzequip.com, etc.) and designing solutions to satisfy them. The Business Analysis team is responsible for specifying the software/website requirements and, as such, is considered the intermediary with the programming staff.
Mandatory Requirements:
Currently enrolled in Computer Science/ MIS major
Completed a minimum of 9 credit hours in the above major coursework
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to write clearly and unambiguously in English
Must have strong MS Office Skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Possess basic knowledge of MIS concepts; ability to work well with numbers/math/statistics
Be available to work a minimum of 20 hours per week with a maximum of 40 hours per week until end of internship
Candidates must be within reasonable, commutable distance of the Technology Center located in Oklahoma City, OK; Park Ridge, NJ or Estero, FL to allow for work while attending school.
Preferred Requirements :
Preferably a junior level student
Possess training and/or experience with one or more of the following:
JAVA, ASP, HTML, UNIZX, SQL, Project Management, Telecommunications (Data and Voice) and QA Testing of end user applications.
Any application support experience is highly preferred
Experience with programming or network infrastructure
Technical writing and documentation
