The Lead Developer should be able to interact with the Supply Chain business users to understand and interpret their needs. They must have the ability to interpret requirements and provide functional and technical design. They must also understand and promote the strategic view of applications and how they fit into the overall Supply Chain space. They should be able to proactively drive the deliverables; to think, work and contribute beyond defined responsibilities; and to grow and assume additional responsibilities. They should be well-organized with the capacity to multitask and able to work in a fast paced environment independently and as part of a team. The Lead Developer role is responsible for the development, support and management of scope for a project.

The Lead Developer must have and be able to promote an appropriate sense of urgency in regard to deliverables and projects, and be able to effectively partner with / lead the business to develop and deliver IT solutions.

This includes working with data modeling, DBAs and development teams to put processes and procedures in place to create new procs, monitor and manage the procs/databases in production, perform tuning and SQL analysis, and provide space estimates . The lead implements and supports moderate size and complex enterprise projects with minimal supervision.

The Lead Developer has expert knowledge in one or more programming languages or databases. Excellent understanding of the entire project life cycle. Ability to guide and direct project teams in the requirements gathering, design, and development of complex applications/programs. Must present ideas to review boards. The Lead Developer must work closely with architects to ensure proper system design. Ensures highest quality implementations from design through QA to production. Assists multiple team members and other project leads in the day-to-day activities related to project work. Must be able to anticipate hardware and software design needs. The Lead Developer must have the ability to view packages and products to determine their viability within the solution being considered, or if they would be a good solution in other areas.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS -

  • 7+ Years of Information Technology experience. Consulting experience is a plus. Retail Experience is a plus.
  • 5+ years experience with developing applications, reports and dashboards using any major tool is desired.
  • 5+ years experience working withmultiple data warehouses/databases is required. Strong SQL skills are required.
  • Oracle Exadata PL/SQL experience is a plus.
  • Supply Chain experience is a plus.
  • Performance Analysis and Optimization recommendations
  • Workload Management
  • Work in concert with the matrix teams to deliver reporting performance specified by business requirements.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and documentation skills required. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills; must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with the ability to appropriately prioritize tasks as needed
  • Must be comfortable working with business users at all levels. Ability to communicate to a wide variety of audiences, both business and technical. Ability to understand existing business processes and assist with efforts to re-engineer processes.


MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES -

  • View software packages, products and define, prioritize, plan and implement solutions across multiple complex projects.
  • Ensure the team comprehends and applies the established processes, policies, standards and procedures.
  • Provide status reports to Manager and review boards on complex development projects.
  • Guide and direct project teams in the requirements gathering, design, and development of complex applications/programs.
  • Ensure compliance and conduct appropriate test reviews as necessary.

NATURE AND SCOPE -

  • Typically reports to Manager, Information Technology
  • No associates report to this role on a permanent basis, but requires the technical leadership of a project work team: may select team members and assess capabilities, provide technical training, provide information necessary to meet work, project or program objectives, evaluate program or project performance.

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS -

Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable. Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS -

Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must pass the Drug Test.
Must successfully complete any required training or orientation courses.


EDUCATION REQUIRED -


The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diplomas and/or GED. Y
